Fees & Returns

* All service orders are subject to a minimum $45.00 service fee once it reaches a technician’s bench regardless of the state of repair or outcome of the diagnosis.

* All part purchases are final and cannot be returned.

* All on-site services have a minimum of one hour.

 

For On-Site (Client-Residence) repairs or services:First hour is $65.00 (non refundable).

Every subsequent quarter hour will be billed at $16.25We accept cash, personal checks and paypal payments.

 

For On-Site (Business) repairs or services:First hour is $70.00 (non refundable).

Every subsequent quarter hour will be billed at $17.50We accept cash, personal checks and paypal payments.

 

The majority of repair jobs can be completed in 1-2 hours. However, some jobs will take longer. An extensive malware infection, or large data backup can take longer depending on the speed of the system, the amount of data or malware to be removed, and in some cases if a malware infection is so extensive that your privacy and identifiable information could be at risk, even after removal, Peace of Mind Computers will recommend a full backup of critical documents. Full restoration of the operating system will ensure that your personally identifiable information is not compromised. If Peace of Mind Computers has not been engaged to perform the backup of critical files, the client will be responsible for them.

Prices do not include parts or software; the customer must have appropriate licensed software

Peace of Mind Computers Satisfaction Guarantee

We guarantee all labor and craftsman ship to be free of defects for a period of three months or 90 Days from the date of service. Peace of Mind Computers cannot be held responsible for any re-currence of malware, power surges, water damage, abuse or misuse of equipment or software, hardware or software failure  that is not a direct result of repair work done by Peace of Mind Computers.  Peace of Mind Computers will not be held responsible for any malware infection, software failure or hardware failure that occurs after a repair. Hardware components sometimes fail during the troubleshooting process due to age or preexisting faults and are not covered under the Peace of Mind Computers Gurantee. In the event a problem is found to be directly caused by a repair, labor required to repair the issue will be 100% free of charge. In addition, phone support for a prior repair is available free of charge for 90 days after which time any repairs required will be charged at the normal rate for any additional repairs required that are not at the fault of a Peace of Mind Computers technician.

Data

Customer is responsible for data backup before repair.

* We are NOT responsible for data loss for any reason including:

* In the event of a computer failure while in service

* In the event the hard drive is formatted to repair the operating system software.

* We reserve the right to erase the computer’s hard drive to ensure proper repair of the unit by eliminating software as a variable whenever the technician deems it necessary.

Software

* Software errors or corruption that causes poor performance or loss of functionality of the computer is NOT covered by our warranty.

* Customer is responsible for determining application compatibility with any operating system they’ve enlisted Peace of Mind Computers to install or upgrade.

Security

* Customer is responsible for ensuring password(s) privacy and security

* Customer is responsible for updating definitions to antivirus software and applying security patches to the operating system after the date of repair on the unit.

* We are NOT responsible for viral infections of the unit or any security compromises to the unit, including compromises due to weak passwords after the date of repair.

Equipment

* Peace of Mind Computers is NOT responsible for notifying you of the re-purposing or disposal of any equipment left at the shop for more than a period of 2 months or 60 days.

* All hardware will be covered per manufacturer’s warranty period!

* Software / Hardware Licensing & Warranties: You the user agree that you will be responsible for all software licensing installed on your computer. Peace of Mind Computers provides technical support and consulting for third party software and/or equipment. We make no warranty that we are an authorized service provider for Third Party Software or for any equipment; it is your sole responsibility to determine if you require additional rights for us to provide such support, and if so, to acquire such rights. You acknowledge that support of Third Party Software or equipment by an unauthorized service provider may void any warranty made by the supplier of such Third Party Software or equipment.
